That was a lot of fun. It still felt enough like a Mastorakis movie and that's always a win. #Splatterday

Wow this movie really had to do with everyone EXCEPT the Grandmother. But she pays the mortgage! The house is in her name! So what can ya do? #Splatterday

No we really could have just had him die here. There's no need to add in this stumbling around and yelling baggage. #Splatterday

Okay where is that Snooperscope? When's it going to make its third and most plot-influencial appearance? #Splatterday

This movie is mashing up classic imagery from both Friedkin's Sorcerer and The Godfather so that means this movie is also good, right? #Splatterday

(it does. this is a good movie I think)

They were going to name this movie Grandpa's House obviously because his character is like 3x more prominent, but then Grandma's performance stole the show. #Splatterday

hahaaha wow this police officer's weirdly recorded voice. It sounds like he literally phoned in his performance. #Splatterday

It took like three separate fully obvious traumatic events, but I think the boy realizes his grandparents are murderous psychopaths now. #Splatterday

What was this movie paid for by big Snooperscope? #Splatterday

Music score started out sounding like cheap MIDI music but then shifted drastically to really great synth cues like an 80's Hans Zimmer contemporary. #Splatterday
January 25, 2026 at 1:05 AM
Oh wow did the Home Alone people get their idea for their opening titles from this? #Splatterday

I'm ready to visit Nico Mastorakis'* Grandma for tonight's #Splatterday viewing!

*Nico Mastorakis did not direct this film!

I think this movie was pretty alright except its tying in with the original Evil Dead Trap made it feel more convoluted than it already is. This was not the Hideki I knew from before and I don't understand the relation! But on its own this was a cool trippy psychological horror. #Splatterday

I'm here for Evil Dead Trap 2! I watched the first one again a couple days ago but I haven't seen any of the sequel(s?) before.

Is it just as good? Is it Ring 2-esque nonsense?? #Splatterday

This is a fine and fun movie but it seems absolutely crazy to me this got such high production (for this kind of movie in this era), while Argento's own Phantom of the Opera production was heavily denied at this same period. #Splatterday

Another Italian stereotype: They loves them a shameless James Cameron ripoff. #Splatterday Yeah I'll say it.
