I've played a version of Wemrys in every RPG I've ever taken part in at some point or another. D&D, Guild Wars 1 and 2, SWTOR, FFXIV of course...but my very first Wemrys was actually called "Venris Quintus" in Warhammer 40K Dark Heresy. Darktide has allowed me to recreate him with the new class...

Turkey day was spent with my family in NY. My sister was in charge of cooking this year and she made two turkeys, one was plain as usual for the family, the other? Smoked and seasoned. SO GOOD. I wanted to just hug her for hours for having less of a white person dinner than normal.

I felt like writing for a new fellow today. Enjoy some lead in/backstory to what I'll be playing.
Seeing a lot of the discourse and feeling a little more justified for deciding it wasn't worth trying to get NA Fan Fest tickets after not getting into the lottery. Another NA show, another massive accessibility failure.

Wemrys' parents were very freebird with how they saw him growing. He lost them in his teens, but one was an ex-pirate and the other was a merchant but also secretly a shinobi. Neither of them wanted him to go down the same paths as them so they simply gave him the tools he needed to make his own.

Now apparently Yoshi-P is promising a "fairly large" announcement for Fan Fest and they're expecting the realm to be reborn a second time (metaphorical).
I have no idea what this means but if they don't expand character customization yet again I'll be sad.

Fan Fest queue for general ticket sales was upwards of 20,000+ people. Tickets sold out after only 4,000 people got them. So basically once again they moved into a new, larger venue and did not increase the number of tickets available.

As an early review for the year of 2025 from a personal level, I don't recommend developing an autoimmune disorder (skin related) shortly after deciding "I'm gonna go with a cheaper health insurance option for the year to save money". I hurt so much every day it's not even funny.

Extremely rare magnetic activity in the atmosphere causing the Northern Lights to be visible to the naked eye as far south as Northern Texas. Meanwhile here in NJ? Overcast clouds, zero visibility.
