It's weirdly humanizing. (Hell, he even gets it wrong twice: the Fall, too!) Fantastic piece, though, Ned. You really nail the mood and the spirit of the album--slippery enough that even Bowie could miss it, I guess--just so.

I bought this on cassette in London, where I was living at the time and had only the world's cheapest boombox to play it on. Needless to say it sounded amazing, probably never better no matter what the format, pressing or rig.
