I believe there is probable evidence to support that claim, and Trump (if he got litigious) would have to provide evidence to the contrary. I think he would find that difficult.

Churchill is massively overrated and given a free ride here. The collective patriotic nostalgia porn was not shared by the returning military in 1945, who gave a landslide victory to Attlee. It shows you really that these flag patriots have no idea about British history or veteran soldiers.

Sadly, I think that they admire what he is able to get away with because if they could, they would. Same with the open racism and wealth raid. Christian right wing is an oxymoron.

We haven't just lost faith in politics; we have lost faith in political reporting. Journalists who became household names through the Johnson years have learned that they need the controversial figures to keep their role in the news 'exciting'. The drama is more important than the truth.

Are there not laws applying to misconduct in public office? This was a wilful neglect of duty to a vulnerable population that fell far below acceptable standards.

Fashion is a capitalist success story. We're so internalised to judge people based on arbitrary seasonal colours and hem lengths that we do the job for them. We can't all be our grandmas, but we do need to see a con when it's staring us in the face.

What overrides religion is the base, which is being protected at all costs by the superstructure. As religion is subsumed into the superstructure, it can bend and shape to support the base. We have a mountain to climb and can't rely on the fluidity of religion. Blessed be the fruit.
