BREAKING: Today, Speaker Julie Menin announced the Council's five-point action plan to combat antisemitism and strengthen community safety in NYC, with a focus on Holocaust education, protecting schools and houses of worship, and confronting hate citywide.

This morning, I’m announcing the @council.nyc.gov’s five-point plan to combat antisemitism.

We’re taking decisive action to invest in education, strengthen protections for schools and houses of worship, support community safety, and ensure we have the tools to confront hatred.

Today, I hosted my first pre-stated press conference, where I was proud to be joined by my newly announced Leadership Team!

We are doing everything we can to secure the immediate release of our @council.nyc.gov employee, who was detained today by federal immigration officials at a routine appointment, despite following the rules. We demand his return.

Our newly elected Speaker Julie Menin joined Errol Louis on Inside City Hall to discuss her plans to prioritize affordable housing, universal childcare, support for small businesses, and more.
