It’s hard to take the article seriously when the author can’t make it to the third word without making a mistake. (Nvidia’s earnings were released at 4:20, not 4:00.)

I would normally let that go but the second word was “precisely,” so I feel it’s essential for the author to get it right!

I’ve seen multiple posts of “Trump is less racist/Islamophobic than Gillibrand/Schumer” on the same day this gets posted and it’s really infuriating.

I found the cornfield where those southern whites that have been neglected by Dems and gerrymandered by Republicans put the socialists.

This is a travesty on the part of Disney, but it is truly elevated by the fact that Disney objected to it on the grounds that they couldn’t understand how Ben Solo was alive…

They couldn’t figure out how Ben Solo was alive!

After they signed off on this!

To that point, the title of this book should have just been “Pearl Harbor in Space.”

And if that allegory wasn’t blatant enough, it also features a frigate named Masada ramming an enemy carrier while the captain recites the Shema over the radio.

Read this in the 2nd grade and it started my life-long obsession with history.

During Trump 1, this is the type of tweet that would have moved a stock. Now? Nothing.

Poor Conor can’t understand why he is the problem. My hope is that every journalist who has contributed to this ends upon Medicaid in a deep red state.

One thing worth highlighting from this article is not just the cancelation of grants, but the fact that the US government is just choosing not to pay amounts due under active grants.

Seems bad for the full faith and credit of the US government.

Great piece (as usual). I liked this quote in particular. It really hammers home my issue w/ TLJ: from a technical perspective it’s a very well done movie and one of my friends used that phrase to describe it. I can appreciate those strengths, but still hate it because it doesn’t feel like Star Wars

There’s a segment of naval guys on Twitter that would be happy to see the army kill a thousand American civilians for each new ship they get.

It’s a good thing then that Princeton is adding more economic diversity too!

I’m wondering whether this guy did any research about his place of employment before publishing his article?

This paragraph is worth noting. In many respects, this endowment tax is constructed to be far more punitive than the standard corporate tax rate since it was slapped together in the TCJA back in 2017 using the method for taxing foundations that fail to spend the required 5%.

Exactly. Here's a great chart showing that for students from families at or below median family income (~$80k), private schools are often cheaper than in-state public schools. And at an elite school (e.g., Ivy League), the cost would typically be zero at that income level.

I love the Lost Regiment books 1-4 though ( the rest are trash). Union soldiers singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic to inspire Russian and Roman peasants to fight nobles, corrupt churchmen, and 8-ft tall aliens that eat people ? Yes please.

The prologue of the ROTS novelization is incredible. I also like this part: you can see the subtle propaganda creating a popular view against the Jedi. Just a few sentences that tell so much. Such a great author.
