Sonic Gems Collection is sincerely one of my all-time favourite Sonic soundtracks. THIS is a 90s nostalgic throwback done exactly right for this series; a perfect next step from the soundscapes of CD, 3D Blast, Sonic R and the OVA. Hataya never misses 👌

Yep all three regions had their own variants of the artwork, with accurate regional Mega-Drive/Genesis designs and Sonic 3&K carts! They’re all cool but I *really* want the Japan one.

I can't imagine I would've said this 5 years ago, but I kinda hope the next big Sonic game has some new humans. I feel like Sonic Team has finally figured out that unique style and flair that makes Ohshima's human designs so distinct and special. Really make them pop!

Has anyone else picked up on how Chaotix's Bonus theme is pretty much a deluxe callback to CD's Special Stage theme? Also we should talk more about Chaotix's soundtrack in general because DAMN that shit is fire.

I've been reading the liner notes of various Sonic albums lately. Cosmic Eternity is said to be the very first track that was approved of for Sonic CD, after a series of rejected demos. I'm sure they're not amazing, but I'd kinda still like to hear Hataya's lost songs lol.
