I think for some it was a lesser of two evils calculation. They weren't naive, but they probably didn't expect Labour to be actually worse than its predecessor whereas, I agree, it was patently obvious from the people running Team Starmer this was where we would end up.

But I know plenty of people who did and now bitterly regret their vote. They won't be fooled next time.
