Dad Tip: In situations where you are going home angry and know you are going to give your son a spanking (for instance getting a call at work), decide beforehand what the punishment will be and try to stick to it. You can always make adjustments in the moment, but planning keeps feelings in check.

Why is the “if you blink you die” such a horror trope? The most famous example might be the Weeping Angels in Dr. Who. But the same trope is seen in SCP, to the point the game put in a blinking mechanic. Horror movie “Butterfly Kisses” has the same theme. Why is that such a trope?
