its a shame that the raspberri pi mutated into a 55$ computer from a 25$ computer

even worse is that i have never ever in my life found a Pi zero for the advertised 5$ here in europe, they are always 15 or more €

i honestly cannot wait to get my hands on one of the new pebbles (the one that isnt a rehash of the Pebble 2)
as an OG pebble user of the olden days i have never found something that came close in how good it feels to use

i like the "use or freeze by" date, as someone who buys on sale meat that has usually a day or so left of the use by date, freezing it is the right call and a good thing to tell people to reduce waste

the whole show for $1200? so 1200/195 = ~$6.15 per episode
Trigun for $280 = 280/26 = ~ $10.76 per episode

yea that trigun box is more expensive than the Tatsura Blue rays.
But ive seen HxH blue rays w/ like 7 or 10 episodes each for 50€ a pop in the stores here (1000-740€ total for the show)

I renember seeing a Hunter x Hunter Blueray in the store a few years back, it contained ~10 episodes (out of 151 iirc) and cost 74.99€

hunter x hunter on blue ray bought from that set would run you ~1125€

if we go by spec alone, cat5e can do 10gig for those 160ish feet while it can do 2.5 for 300 feet (45-55 meters and 100 meters)
honestly impressive what a 20 year old ethernet installation is capable of, no need to rip cables out the walls anytime soon
September 17, 2025 at 7:32 PM
going from 1gig (20 year old tech) to 2.5 or 10gig is such a price jump its a bit silly, but dropping a 100 bucks on an 8port 2.5gig switch to feed the house network is worth it (no need to change the cables thank god, even cat5 can push 10gig at house distances)

watching this take shape over the last 12+ months is incredible, i was so happy when the first episode showed up on my subscription feed but it also shows why this is something not really done anymore as its such a tremendus amount of work
