It’s the act of expressing anything at all that feels therapeutic. Ideas, concepts, shapes, colors, anything that feels appealing to my brain. As long as I like what I’m drawing, I feel like I’m getting out my feelings even if what I’m drawing isn’t my feelings. Yk?

Charlie isn’t running a social club full of assholes. She’s running a (quite unprofessional) rehabilitation facility. She doesn’t do it very well mind you, but her goal is REHABILITATION. And what type of people need rehabilitation? People with issues.

In general, rehabilitation isn’t just for ppl society deems “morally good” enough to help. It’s for horrible ppl too, ideally. Bc if your goal is retribution, then rehab isn’t necessary to begin with. But if your goal is harm reduction, then you HAVE to unfortunately work w some fucked up ppl.

“Anyone can be redeemed” just means “anyone can change their actions in the future and choose to try and improve so they don’t continue a vicious cycle” not “ur good now so everyone has to forgive you and nothing has ever been wrong”

If the first part of redemption is wanting to try, even if it just means getting better in hell, then some characters like Alastor or Valentino will simply never have redemption in their cards bc that’s not who they are as people.

In the case of more complicated or worse sins, the path would be different, but the idea is the same. They can’t erase what they’ve done. They can just ensure it doesn’t happen in the future by wanting to change and making changes. And not everyone wants to do that work. Some even want to be evil.

Pent still let women he murdered even tho he’s redeemed now. He still feels that guilt. But he won’t cause that kind of damage in the future, bc he learned his lesson and continues to do what he can to help others and keep ppl alive. And more than that, he WANTED to change and DID.
