I also use an older HDMI cable my dad used (it is older, but he barely used it)
before that I used DVI
and before Bazzite I used Kubuntu. I had lots of hardware issued on Bazzite tbh. my mouse courser also acts weird after logging in. So maybe it's just Bazzite.

I have upgraded my PC this year, but not the monitor (which is just your standard HD 60Hz monitor.
It always happens after I log-in and it tries to go to my desktop, the screen goes black. (I'm on linux btw. idk if it happens on Windows too or not) But it happens rarely.

is this why my pc monitor sometimes can't get a signal? (says signal is out of range)
