Supply chain is a problem everywhere. I suppose it is marginally higher within the transportation industry because of how many vendors are needed for parts and services that are outsourced. I checked the vendor and subcontractor list at the company I am at and we are near 1100 total. Crazy

(3) Remember, leading a Cybersecurity program isn't just about how much you know about the subject, it's about how you are at making strategic decisions in support of business objectives. You need to be a business leader as well as a Cybersecurity leader.

(2) Know your industry. Know the primary threats that face your industry and APT groups that hit that industry the most.

Identify the regulations and standards your company needs to adhere to and become familiar with them.

(1) Hi Russell. Happy to help!

In my experience, you can't build a solid cybersecurity program without knowing the risks that you need to guard against. Do a Gap Assessment as early as possible and build the GRC component first. GRC will be your fuel for justification for additional hires.
