Hopefully you managed to set some time aside for the pencil museum?

I just can’t remember if it was Ivanka or Tiffany. Or both.

I thought that was confirmed years ago, no?

Many happy returns of the day!

Always had a soft spot for this one, as well…

Just the thing for every day, here in The Bronx.

Not to boast or rub it in, but the opening act was Carl Perkins. Easily the most perfect bill I’ve ever seen.

We saw Orbison live right around that time. His voice was completely otherworldly… no studio ever came close to properly capturing it.

It’s very much worth the effort, I think. Especially when you consider it within the context of its time - so much about it was groundbreaking.

If you give it a go, I hope you enjoy it!

It’s really wild when viewed as a time capsule and, as such, for a Yank, quite exotic. Plus, they often had brilliant musical guests.

Oh, it’s brilliant, but only six (?) episodes. Very surreal, but funny, and Anthony Newley was superb in it. Well worth looking into.

Mind you, I only stumbled upon it recently, on YouTube, but I’m completely obsessed.

Also.. The Strange World of Gurney Slade, if that even counts.

Yes, and the anger in the final four lines is visceral. And not unwarranted.

His poem Suicide In The Trenches stands a very good chance of being my favourite poem ever.

That album is the foundation for all of our (Sour Jazz) albums. We even titled our first album No Values in acknowledgement. Shameless!
November 9, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Far as Iggy and Williamson go, I’ll take New Values over their other three.
November 9, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Exactly – bands like Dexys really brought something of their own to the party, and gave it all a very good kicking. Especially that first album, which has held up without losing an ounce of appeal.

Heaps of charisma, loads of talent. Generally not a fan of revival-type music, but absolutely loved them.

His earlier band here in NYC, Buzz & The Flyers, were great. Buzz Wayne then, not Dig Wayne.

Mamdani is a private citizen until he is officially sworn-in as our Mayor on 1 January 2026. Besides, subway signage here has been displayed in multiple languages for as long as I can remember.

The sexiness and sultriness caught you off-guard, didn’t it?!

Not that I remember, beyond vague memories of “Grandpa.”
She would’ve been a kid when he died.
I was impressed by her connection, though, which I don’t think she particularly understood!
