The good news is that Dhurandhar 📽️ (2025, Hindi), starring the handsomest man in the world, Ranveer Singh, is playing locally to me thru X-mas Day. The bad news is that Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 📽️ has already taken a powder, which means I won’t complete my 2025 double feature trifecta. 😭😭😭

What I love most about “The Next Phase” is how Ro Laren goes on a Dan-Harmon-like hero’s journey here. She dies and comes back…Having Changed.

It was on sale late in the summer, so I picked it up cheap. Just opened it last night and have flipped through. I’m pretty darn disappointed. I disagree with the author/interviewer’s assessments, and I strongly dislike his voice. Only buy for the coffee table book of it all. #WongKarWai #FilmSky 📽️ 📚

Judging from the sheer number of DUBAI CHOCOLATE products at my local Costco, there must have been an influencer pushing the stuff like a year ago, and upscale retailers have been rushing to catch up since. Or there’s a conspiracy by pistachio growers afoot. This is only a sampling of many such.

Main Hoon Na 📽️ (2004, Hindi) was my 50th Indian movie! I just learned that it was director Farah Khan’s first feature. At three and four hours respectively, it and Baahubali: The Epic actually increased the median length of the Indian movies I’ve seen. Hindi 46%/Telugu 30%/Punjabi 10%. #DesiWatch

Just got this news alert from The Hindu. I’m going to say that I made the right choice seeing Baahubali: The Epic 📽️ last week. Also: Main Hoon Na was the perfect mouth freshener after Baahubali’s 18-course banquet—not that Main Hoon Na lacks substance. #DesiWatch
