Children:

- ask 'why' without fear
- see hypocrisy instantly
- refuse to accept cruelty as normal
- imagine alternatives
- empathize instinctively
- don’t yet believe in the inevitability of hierarchy

That’s why authoritarian systems treat children as threats.

If I ever find myself saving someone's life, afterwards, I will look them directly in the eyes, say, 'Your grandchildren will be very important to the human race one day,' and run off.

A person with a self can choose. A person without a self can only obey. Your individual identity matters.
Yes because then they’d have to face the reality of what people think of them

One way this could all end is a dog scoots its butt across the 'self-destruct' button on whatever is generating the simulation.

I'm pretty sure if I listed the 500 worst things anyone I personally know did in 2025, by the time I got to #100, it would be something like 'forgot to thank the cashier.'

Seems like it's easier for people to stop believing in God than to stop believing in capitalism.

I have strong reason to believe we could've had medical tricorders by now if we'd just allocated our resources differently.

Joy is resistance!

And the problem-solving and critical thinking that went into the original costume idea were sheer genius level.

I try to teach my students that anger, fear and shame are *terrible* states in which to attempt problem-solving or decision-making. That's why joy is resistance and why critical thinking is also important for mental health.

'Instead' is a big concept. It goes beyond just 'not that.' When was the last time telling yourself not to have that last piece of pie worked?
Parents need to be aware of who their kids are following online. Young people want to be a part of something and the attention being given to Turning Point right now is causing an increase in followers. Talking to your young adults about their choice of influence is important.

Years ago, I once transcribed a cop 'de-escalation' training video. It was literally nothing but cops screaming at people and pulling guns on them and ended with cops shooting a drunk suicidal man.

Maybe the issue isn't *that* women are angry but the things they're angry *about*. Learn to recognize distractions from and distortions of main ideas so we can solve the real problems. #satstrategies
