Its (bell?) tower to our right is apparently under construction/repairs, and is obscured by scaffolding. The stepped/detailed brick roof of a smaller residential structure is seen in the foreground, with several other structures seen from behind in the background. 1642 S. Homan, Chicago. Built in 1903, John Klucina, architect
One-story brick cottage, built in 1903. John Klucina was the architect. It has a flat roof with and oriel window on the left side and a bay on the front. The roof of the bay is polygonal with a finial on top. There are also three stone urns along the front parapet wall. The brick has been painted red and is peeling and the windows on the lower level are boarded up.

A southeast view down Milwaukee Ave from North Ave in the mid 80s. Modern sign regulations have robbed our commercial corridors of visual and textural richness, and for no good reason. At least we have more trees now...
