I did not feel pain today. For 36 days in a row, I had excruciating pinched nerve pain as soon as I woke up, lasting until mid-afternoon. I missed the holidays with my children and grandies. This is a day to be thankful.

OH MY GOD. I have been calling to get an appointment with my doctor for weeks. Today I finally was thrilled to get a message that I was “in the queue.” Waited for 28 minutes to get a person. Only to be told that the first appointment they can give me for excruciating back pain is MARCH 10th.

Feeling sad that I’m missing my family holiday get-together this year. Sciatica problems kept me from making the trip, but I would have been such a downer. Hoping they all have a lovely, fun, wildly cheerful day!! ❤️ Love you guys!!!

Oy. Just found Alfred Hitchcock Presents. An episode with 5-yr-old Billy Mumy going off to the grocery store by himself (!) but doesn’t know his play gun is real. The lesson: be sure you’re careful with your guns because there are too many kids getting shot these days. IN 1961!!!

IDK about you, but when I’m subjected to a speech read without any feeling in a monotone voice, I tune out. Especially when it’s just a list of historical facts. Who wrote that? A 6th grader?
