Of all the bizarre choices Bob made re song selection, his decision to leave "Lay Down Your Weary Tune" off both Times and Another Side is the strangest. Your treatment of that song as one of the greatest he ever wrote was a wonderful validation for me.

Because he praises you effusively in a dust jacket blurb on the back of the American paperback edition. I never met him, although I did know Geoffrey Hill, that other truly great late 20th century critic.
