Never accused of being intentionally funny. Definitely too earnest for social media. She/her
Look y'all, this was what happened the last time I was at Costco and I was fucking despondent. So I wasnt about to let a damn thing happen to my prize today

Forth Worth people: Last I heard, there was a good push against being taken over and some reassurances? Now it looks like TEA is staying the course and planning to announce the takeover of Fort Worth ISD today at 9 am?

Big pants
October 22, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Mine are partially that big because they are probably a size too large. But I love them so much.

They only have this and one other print left.

Gonna warn that they are pricey pants at 190. But they are running a sale today. Also fair trade etc

Howdy, from Houston, Texas! Kids couldnt hang that long, but we made it out here for a few hours! And found some Axolotls and a chicken and this sign that made me bust out laughing. At least 5000 people were out, but Im guessing many more

Found it. They increased the basic allotment by $55.

It is bleak here, friend! You should see our basic allotment from the state. They recently "raised" this, or promised to? Imma have to check

HISD has 274 schools. Had I guess, we lost at least one so far this year (it was one specifically for recent immigrants).

We can never get these stolen years back. My oldest will not get a re-do of kindergarten. Miles claims that teachers who defy him are lazy, or stupid, or lying. They are not. These teachers are heros! They know this curriculum is developmentally inappropriate, insane, and cruel.
October 17, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Do not let charlatans like Mike Miles take your children's joy of learning from them. Do not let them take your libraries, your books, your kindergartener's storytime.

HELP US FIGHT THIS INSANITY!
PLEASE, NATIONAL REPORTERS, START PAYING ATTENTION BEFORE IT COMES FOR YOU KID'S SCHOOLS TOO!

Kids are so unfamiliar with their teacher reading real books to them, that students dont even recognize what this teacher is doing when she managed to sneak a book into her classroom during testing craziness
October 17, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Not one, not two, but thousands of HISD teachers have lost their jobs under Miles's authoritarian "leadership" because they have dared to buck his requirement to teach the district-created, NES curriculum "with fidelity." How, you ask? Well, they've had the audacity to read real books, sing, draw 🧵

Yes-ish. But they also compare Trump to Sadam Hussein (negatively) and follow that paragraph with "Healthy democracies are more likely to win wars."

Here is what they said. Not 100% sure who Friends of Libraries works with.

Making my kid some Rumi boots. I am unreasonably pleased with this gold spray paint.

Everyone look at my beautiful butter beans!

Having a tough one but reminding myself of good things. Here is my 5yo's drawing of a spider. Hope it makes you happier too.

Working on a garden sign for the youngest's class. Not gonna show it finished (cause names), but here is the background. The teacher loves purple.

So, I dont entirely know how it will lie on her, but I'm pleased with this as, at least, my first attempt. The gold looks like just a line when she wears it. The shirt on the right is what I started with--cropped it, cut off the sleeves, gave it a colar, "invisible zipper"/custom pull, gold trim

Dug the baby out of the closet. Getting closer to actually getting to start working on youngest's costume!

My mom bought this in Jan of 85 and she says it was old then, so let's see if the old workhorse has any power left in it (and if it can sew modern stretch fabric 😬)

Why must children be like this?
