That's putting it mildly. It's... quite far from the Bachman/King ending. (Hell I almost expect an 'Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge' twist cut to be on the Blu-Ray)

Kinda messy as a fit here though. King's character is "the angriest man in America", while Arnold's is quippy and sharp. Glen Powell seems to have been told to be both and it just kinda comes across as... well, a mess. Certainly tries his best though.

I wondered if Wright would wuss out on the ending. The trailer gave me hope... but the movie wrecked it. Bleh.

There is quite a lot of 'AI' music pollution in some spaces, though it is worse for some genres than others. Hasn't hit the radio yet, far as I can tell, but if you enjoy niche subgenres like trip-hop or retro jazz, or lo-fi hiphop, etc.... youtube and spotify are an absolute mess these days.

It's hilarious because I always get Sanguine utterly wrong, as in, completely opposite. I associate it with moody mopey vampire-ish enui. Because blood, I guess? And every time, nope, brain wrong.

Honestly lazy AI upscaling is still pretty annoying. The GTA remaster-things used it heavily and it resulted in a lot of garbage.

I remember enjoying The Speckled Band, The Red-Headed League, and The Musgrave Rituals, if your interested in some of the short stories. Sign of the Four was probably my fave novel (the ending of Baskerville just felt silly to me)

I dont think I've ever heard his song being played outside of July 4th fireworks shows. And absolutely no idea it was considered "country".
