Why does everyone assume Evangelical MAGAts are opposed to pedos? Seriously, go to your choice of White Evangelical churchs, find the guy with the wife who is obvious over a decade younger, and better than even odds are that the story is "we met through my ministry, when I was a youth minister".

In a way, it's helpful that there's a story about this coming out now, because members of those congregations are the specific people Megyn Kelly is talking to when she wants to differentiate rape of a 5 year old from rape of a 15 year old. Because those congregations all know about 15-year-olds.

White Evangelical churches. (I can't speak for Black Evangelicals, but friends who were raised Black Evangelical have hinted that the church service that would be associated with that sort of thing would be a sparsely-attended funeral, not a wedding.)

(Seriously, go to your choice of churchs, look for the dude who is visibly a decade plus older than his spouse, and the story is going to be "oh, we met through my ministry, back when I was a youth minister". And nobody bats an eye at that.)

Honestly, given that all 7 D's just happened to either be retiring or not up in 2026, I'm thinking primary all the Democratic Senators until Schumer/Durban/all of the Disgraced 8 get sent packing.

And, keep in mind, that's among people who (a) answer their phones for unknown numbers and (b) do not hang up immediately when the unknown caller tells them they want to ask some very personal questions, which is a group that skews elderly and conservative.
