Combine that with "alternative valuation products" and bifurcated/hybrid appraisals (appraiser never actually inspects the house; that part is done by an unlicensed "property data collector" with no liability at all). It's been 20 years since the last crisis. Time for a new one.

1. a large percentage of them live in older, substandard housing (often older trailer parks), and share their space with extended family or other immigrants. 2. They are key to the construction industry and solving the housing crisis. 3. I would say that short term rentals are a bigger problem

That might work, but my impression is that base jumpers are often on the lawless side. My cousin was involved in a rather spectacular airplane stunt that did not have proper permits. His cousin said they had them, but didn't. I think he lost his pilot's license for a year.
