Well, I'm ignorant in that area and need info. Where would I find what has been said over the decades?

Isn't the majority who we're trying to reach?
October 20, 2025 at 5:37 PM
ICE doesn't seem to have madr any appearances where I am currently.

What kind of mutual aid are you talking about specifically?
I'm asking because I genuinely don't know what I could be doing and just need ideas.

Attending council meetings would be productive.

I won't deny that America has an apathy problem and we can certainly afford to do more but we can only work with what we have now and I want to do what I can to be the most useful.
October 20, 2025 at 2:36 PM
I agree that it requires dedication and self-sacrifice. What I'm saying is that we can't expect the majority to do this, so what's the next best thing I can do? I want to do something that I can do with what I have now and work up to in the future.

Please say more!

I'm not going to waste my time building bridges with people I know don't want that (which is why I bully the Twitter Nazi's and disrupt their spaces!) But I want to put the effort into reaching out rather than adding to the violence, if I can help it. I know myself well enough to know my place.
October 20, 2025 at 3:31 AM
I'm already doing a lot more than you realize. Maybe not to the level that you'd be satisfied with but I understand my place and know where I'm most useful. Now, I'm willing to hear more about what I can do to fight this fascism and make the necessary changes myself, but that's all I can offer now.

You can't just expect most people to reprioritize their lives and routines to pursue these causes, as ideal as it would be. Realistically, most people don't care about anything until it affects them. I figure the best I can do is make a space to have these difficult conversations and have patience.
October 20, 2025 at 2:59 AM
You know what? Granted. I know that violence is an inevitable reality but I don't want to contribute to moving in that direction. Personally, I'd much rather do the hard work of building bridges and mending the fractures. I just hate the idea of being in a position where I might have to take a life.
October 20, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Weekday protests are a good suggestion but, realistically, there aren't a lot of people who can dedicate that kind of time due to their personal obligations. How would any of the others listed be feasible? Or, at least, how would we be able to do any of these on a more local level?

The Civil Rights Movement had violence but it was mostly peaceful.
And what about the Non-Cooperation movement in 1920 and the Salt March in India in 1930? Or the Velvet Revolution in 1989? Or the Rose Revolution in the country of Georgia, 2003?
Or the Orange Revolution?
The Carnation Revolution?
October 19, 2025 at 5:27 PM
And who would be the prime target for the violence?
October 19, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Ok, is killing someone off the table, at least?
October 19, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I dare to be hopeful
October 19, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Interesting. What would you propose would be a more effective strategy?
October 19, 2025 at 5:00 PM
You're missing the point. This was, and is still, an opportunity to form meaningful relationships with those that can still be reached.
Is it gonna work on everyone? No.
Would it work for some people that could bring awareness? I'd like to believe so.
October 19, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Uh-uh. No, we shouldn't allow violence to be set as a precedent here. There is no reason to celebrate this. And since you have a cross as your pro-pic, I assume that you're a Christian and I implore you to pray for him.
September 10, 2025 at 8:35 PM
I know it's tempting to kick him while he's down but we have an opportunity to build some bridges with this.
I think we can all agree that we don't want violences set as a precedent.
