Second try at BlueSky. If they ask you to validate your account, I strongly suggest you do so :-)
Oh no. This is hard. A lovely man. Many hugs. Many many hugs.

Well, good grief. But definitely better to find it out, and check out the cool strapping!

That agent you spoke to was effective. Impressive!

Oh that IS interesting.

I always put it down to bring a control freak who isn't in control any more. I don't particularly get physical symptoms, just stressed.

Runs in the family though - my dad and his mum, my granny, have variations of it.

Glad you are finding ways to push the envelope too!

Nicely done!

Generally you have to be part of a uni to get access to their library. We have our own bijou library of niche books, but I squandered the book budget this year. Well, I say I. There was a miscommunication. I now have a box of almost entirely pointless but very expensive additions.

Slider. Hehehe. Is that going to taste similar to cider and black?

Almost you have inspired me to go out something in a jar.

Healing also burning energy I'd imagine.

That's sloe gin not kimchi. Although I've never drunk that either.
November 9, 2025 at 7:28 PM
I don't think I remember ever actually drinking it. Just it exploding in my parents' dining room. Good luck!
November 9, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Oh, bless.

BOOM!

It's like sloe gin. Injects a bit of excitement into domestic life.

I miss uni libraries. I am an enthusiastic consumer of other people's research. Obviously you need to go to the gym more because we must keep you fit and healthy to keep it coming!!!!
November 9, 2025 at 4:52 PM
Goals! Goals are very important.
November 9, 2025 at 4:46 PM
I bet you don't go to their library either, do you? I am JUDGING you ;-)

Yeah, there's a sweet spot there somewhere.
November 9, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Of course the upside of joining a gym is that it moves it up my list of priorities. I've been letting work dictate the amount of exercise I do as well as my leg, which is clearly unacceptable.

Routine and a horror of waste for the win!

Hips, knees, sleep, main lining coffee sbd sleep, the ability to drink alcohol and still function the next day....

Everything is very much wasted on teenagers.

There, I'm truly middle aged for that comment.

Planks are only tolerable if there is a fitness instructor gently but firmly insisting on it. My self motivation to do a plank is very much zero.
November 9, 2025 at 11:17 AM
I was SO PROUD of myself over the years for getting into it very very slowly and gently at a relatively older age, and refusing to overdo it. Part of the issue may well be that I've been erratic with it for a few years now, but ironically this is because that leg keeps having issues.
November 9, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Quite tempted to google the Capaldi rant myself now though...

I was a gym member for a couple of years between kids and I didn't actually hate it. But I treated the gym as a place to warm up in before the classes really.

We do have some decent outdoor gyms here, which I already do make use of. But mainly as a way to warm down from running. *sigh*

Definitely my thigh. I had thought my hip might be going, actually, which would presumably be worse.

Or that I am channeling premiership footballers and getting a groin injury.

I mean, to be honest, it could be all three, ongoing nigglewise!!!!

Went to a gym where the running machine had the option of pretending you were trotting round San Francisco, which was mildly entertaining.

Obviously can't do that one though. 😠
