I really can't roll my eyes hard enough when people say 'CALL YOUR REPS.' We saw a couple weeks ago when the Democrats voted to end the shutdown that they'd worked out who was voting to end it ahead of time. They already had a meeting about how everyone was voting and we weren't invited.

Boyega doesn't seem eager to get jerked around again and I don't blame him.

They basically end up doing nothing with Finn in either movie which is the problem.

This wouldn't fix the pacing issues which are by far the biggest problem and it wouldn't fix the hole left by killing the main villain halfway through the trilogy but it would fix the problems with Finn's arc and tie the 'theme' everyone likes into the movie in a more natural way.

This movie does a lot of things I like but I have a lot of problems with it.
I think MOST of those problems would be solved with one change *spoilers for eight year old movie incoming*
Just have Finn be the one to move the rocks at the end.

It's not unwatchable but its a very messy adaptation that loses sight of a lot of what made the original so timeless.
