I guess the best if you look up Lakuza what he was posting here before about it.

The CyanTrigger debacle. VRC was about to end support, I think it was resolved, but still caused creators to leave.

Not just on the gameplay part, but even with their company, I seen so many trying to grow and be more "AAA-like" after their first successes, that eventually caused them to shut down due to growing too fast... like why not just keep doing what works rather than trying to "make it to the big leagues"

Well yeah, with the latest drama some months ago, pretty much all adventure world creators left, and the game worlds are mostly just for kids, like roblox.
As much as I criticize Lakuza's worlds because most of them I can't enjoy, his and other's departure permanently hurt the platform.

I could keep doing this just for this year's FPS releases ALL DAY, but I've got work to do. So instead I'm just going to link-dump to more you should check out.

The AMC Squad: Ep5, Timesplitters Rewind, Cruel, Beyond Citadel, SCP: Fragmented Minds, Desecrators, Psycho Patrol R, Viscerafest [Cont'd]

The reason we have difficulty settings in games is because ultimately it's an accessibility option, not a "skill issue" that players usually interpret it at. It's to make people of different abilities to be able to experience a game. Saying this as an advice from one dev to another.

The thing is that I wanted to experience and play through the whole thing, because I'm sure the whole thing is amazing, I wanted to see it, but the difficulty stopped me from being able to do that.

The reason why I think it needed more testing because the issue I had with it is related to too many things coming from too many directions, which making it play in VR actually detrimental. Sure, VR does have that problem by default that you need a lot more awareness than in flat games, but still.

The production values were insane, very much like a full on game, but eventually gave up with my friend as it really didn't feel good to play. I managed to beat the first boss, but my friend gave up due to difficulty. Felt like it needed more testing, too many things coming from too many directions.

Hell, might actually be hurting my CV, but can't really put much else in there, can I? Imagine, in any other country having work experience and education, regardless of what kind and where is a serious advantage. Here? Most likely a liability. Not sure what to do anymore, I keep falling. (3/3)

Anything gamedev or gamedesign related jobs are mostly not actually present as options in any of the local job databases. I think those jobs are so incredibly rare in my country that they are barely registered; and as such, it is likely that my 8 years or so work experience is considered null. (2/3)
