Possibly, but I don’t recall that, but using the military as the President’s own private army against American citizens would have never been seen as legal by the people in the units I served with.

100% I was a grunt back in the 80s and we were well versed in the same and it was made clear to us that we were not to obey illegal orders under any circumstances.
