Horseshit - until we actually build affordable starter homes in dense urban areas , regulate fringe areas to require developers pay for infrastructure, and equitably fund schools, you’re just making these “preferences“ up out of thin air. The system is creating the housing that benefits finance….

I was in gymnasium near Düsseldorf & talking about racism in the American South. I suggested that it was an intractable problem that would not change for several generations at best. Somebody made an analogy w/ German reunification was a similarly complex problem & asked for a show of hands.

The sidewalks are disgusting, tiny and broken. But there’s enough room for two cars to double park on opposite sides, and not slow down the bikes & two lanes of traffic
