Google is very good at flying under the radar. They have the biggest monopoly of all, an insanely outsized influence over what people find and see all over the internet, and somehow their various algorithms and platforms get almost no scrutiny or hate.

Perhaps a reminder that it's a tough life, being a professional tennis player, and that it might be harder to stay near the top (where all the money and glamour is), than it is to get there in the first place.

Out of curiosity, I googled him. ~2.5 yrs ago he was ranked #37. This year he's lost every opening match in 13 Challengers in a row since June. I bet there was a lot of behaviour he later regretted, but it's hard to guess if the bad temper was the reason or the product of his professional implosion.

Interesting! Tbh the plot alone sounds way too weird for me. But I've added Sirat to my ever growing list of movies to watch. Maybe on a rainy afternoon next year... 😄

If only she didn't defend abusers of women, I'd probably be celebrating her too. Ridiculous temper tantrums and all.

Almodóvar in the producer list may have a lot to do with it. My wild guess, only having read what the movie is about. ☺️

This is also an interesting perspective, I thought: bsky.app/profile/capi...
People are treating Chris Whipple's Susie Wiles articles in Vanity Fair today as big news - the NYT even recapped them. But Wiles is no dummy; she knows how to work the press. These articles read like a Trump press release, excuse after excuse with no pushback. It's the anti-Chotiner interview. 1/

It's a tough watch (on and off court). The moment that (to me) summarised this match: the sit down between 1st and 2nd sets, if you watch both players, you'd think that Coco had easily won the 1st set (and she lost!). This match was won/lost in their heads way before it was decided w their racquets.

Trump is a moronic bully. The whole nation needs to back the BBC as a matter of honour.

If we're going for "things not going to plan and spiralling out control" match of the year, then my vote is the French Open final.

Another data point in the hypothesis that there is no bottom when it comes to Trump.
