I'm a veteran male gamer from the UK. My RPG playing goes way back past Baldur's Gate, to student D&D. On BSN and Xbox as SofaJockey. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Horizon, Fallout, Last of Us, God of War, Hitman, Death Stranding, Day's Gone & Assassin's Creed.
Cardassians on the Voyager crew during the Cardassian war...?

ok...

I suppose we should have had Klingons on the original TOS Enterprise?

Add to that the rash of AI slop that bluntly lies to you pretending to be some trailer or something real.

And YouTube becomes a fight to find the good content that is undoubtedly there but swimming in dross.

I pictured 2026 as more of a sphincter, but my attempts to back that up with a gif thankfully fell short... 🫤

(takes a deep breath)

I can see a place for AI in pre-visualisation and repetitive processes.

If that opens up time for creatives to do their best work, great.

If that means fire the creatives, definitely not great.

Do we need articles explaining that he used to be a nice guy doing long walks and somesuch?

I think not.
December 16, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Ha. No. I junked my last PC 15 years ago, so I'm Xbox PS Switch only.

Never mind, there are still 12 TR games enjoy (at least).
December 16, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Awesome. I'm a console gamer so I have to make do with the remastered anthologies.
December 16, 2025 at 6:05 PM
For sure. I think people bring their own attitudes to games.
I see no point in looking for things not to like.
I try to enjoy the experience.

Something that combines puzzles, platforming and action in a good way would suit me just fine.

Fans would be making a mistake to get all huffy if a particular aspect from a 30-year franchise were not delivered exactly as they would desire.
December 16, 2025 at 8:39 AM
There may need to be a little handwaving (every long running franchise does it) but connecting the franchise up is great news.

I liked the old stuff, I liked the survivor trilogy.

The next two are easy days ones for me...

A few Xenomorphs would have helped Shadow of the Tomb Raider...
December 14, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Finished it a couple of days ago - it's excellent.
December 13, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Nice. An appetiser while I'm waiting for Mass Effect.
December 13, 2025 at 4:41 PM
It was, but E33 had the prevailing wind.
December 12, 2025 at 11:00 PM
I realise this one will be more action based, but I'm hopeful that the sandbox of differing choices and approaches will remain.
December 12, 2025 at 8:46 PM
Pretty much at 100 days...

I like the look of it, I played a ton of Hitman.
December 12, 2025 at 7:41 PM
I was born within a few weeks of Farage, so we share a common school year.

WWII was certainly more present, some of my teachers served. War films were regularly shown on TV.

But one theme was constant, that Hitler was the bad guy...

Broke the rules, paid the price.

If a football player gets a red card that doesn't mean they can never play again. Similar principle.

I agree. I don't believe Israel should have been there in 2024 & 2025. I've being enjoying the competition for over 50 years. The singers don't need this drama and it's naive to believe a singing contest cam operate in a blissful bubble.
December 4, 2025 at 7:07 PM
There was clearly industrial scale advertising by the Israeli government pushing their song.

But even without that, voting is very vulnerable to partisan behaviour. A country can win Eurovision with 10% of the points because there are so many songs.
December 4, 2025 at 6:35 PM
No rigging required.

Those who wish to make a vote on political grounds have one song to vote for on one side and those on the other side split their votes 20 ways.

Not a conspiracy, just maths.

I'm not satisfied until I have 37 settlements connected up...
December 4, 2025 at 1:33 PM
So think of the 2nd and 3rd parts of the trilogy as 'big DLC'.

They seem to be totally waiting for the 'next gen'.

They have build their platform for Witcher 4, and 5 & 6 will be content within the same generation.

There is only one way any business should issue a layoff notice.

By a human being, face to face.
December 1, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Two years ago I completed #Whamageddon.
I'm not going out on day 1 but a real banger indeed.
