It's great. Around KH3 launch a genre of video came out around trying to summarize everything, always ending up in comedic breakdowns about Mickey Mouse.
KH also doesnt really need lore to be enjoyed. Way more about the emotional journey. Lore is just a little spice.

They kinda did this with Styanax and Nezha. Very slim dudes, and one a short king.
With Grendel they had to make an entirely distinct skeletal rig for the animations. Which would be hard to make a unique one for each of the ≈4 new warframes we get yearly.
