Like I wanna say that a lot of the women kinda boil down into "Love Interest" most of the time but like. It's not perfect but it hits the bar of letting women have Agency and Cool Moments so it gets a pass from me.

Like that arc is Subaru being a shithead and experiencing the worst things possible in 20 different ways it's rough. And then he figures out how to handle it all and it's quite like... tame? I guess? I dunno I feel like it doesn't get the same gravitas.

Anyways 6 episodes in (really 12 if you consider length lol) this shit is pretty good. Enjoying this. I have a feeling I’d probably love the novels way more since I looooove reading insane protagonists inner monologues. But the animation is good so I’ll keep watching.
