People actually go out of their way to visit them, and hands down this delightful bundle spreads more seasonal joy in Northumberland than anything else.

Each year, since 2011, kids from the village First Schools take part in the
Christmas Lights Competition, with the winning designs being turned into lights that the kids get to switch on themselves.
There’s 14 unique Christmas garlands in each of the 5 ex-mining villages now.

What a bummer it all just back to old ways, whilst simultaneously keeping only the crap new ways too. Like blaming a mass disablement event on the folk affected and being okay with always being on/ traceable.

But with elements we know we need now: warm weather policies (not just cold), digital as core infrastructure, better urban design to accommodate older people, more localised food production, donut economic stuff, etc etc etc.

I 1000% think it would.
Public health centres approaches become primary to all of it: quality homes and green spaces, youth and sports facilities, cultural and critical spaces- libraries, night schools etc, primary and secondary health and social care structures.

By 2024-25, pensioners received on average an extra £900 a year compared to 2010-11, while those under 65 receiving benefits have lost an average of £1,500 a year.

The key drivers of this? Increasing the state pension via the Triple Lock, while freezing and capping support for working-age families.

They need room in the cold storage for a deceased passenger until a mortuary can be used instead at the next port. A deeply practical but throughly depressing act.

The legislation seems very assumptious of nuclear families and that parental responsibility is acting in best interests of the young person.

Thank you- We have benefits can be applied for without parental consent from 16, and benefits for children from birth.
I’m assuming if I’m 13 and on DLA child for instance, I could legally be allowed to alter my own record or ‘take over’ my claim. I could be wrong through.

Can we get actual Bob Mortimer to be the BBCs lawyer against trump? I mean, if he can defend Jarvis Cockers mooning the Prince of Pop, he can sort this out in a jiffy.

There unemployment-to-vacancy ratio is about 2:4 at the minute. Jobs have fell consistently each month since March 2022 - and the only growing sectors are not entry positions, like teaching.

But aye… lazy youth and disabled innit.

Poverty is one of the most significant causes of digital exclusion. Systemic approaches to eradicating poverty should be top of a Labour govt's list of priorities, not part of a
plan to deliver a pet project, but if drastic reductions to economic exclusion are on the cards, that's to be welcome

Ditto. Didn’t want to vote green as it’s a middle class party, but no other choice- it’s the only kind party left.
