Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre (Merseyside, UK) is delighted that the Hornby plaque has been put back in prominent public view at Liverpool Lime Street Station. Hornby was born on the adjacent Copperas Hill but his house was demolished when the station was enlarged many years ago. #bsmuseums

Meccano's 1970's answer to Tonka Toys - MOGUL. Here's a really nice fire engine just acquired by Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre, Merseyside, UK. Suffice to say that Mogul didn't trouble Tonka much. #bsmuseums

Forest go to Liverpool and win 3-0. I'd been saying b4 the game that if Forest came away with less than a 3-0 loss they'd have done well. Beating Liverpool by 3 at Anfield is all but unheard of!

Last days of Liverpool’s Meccano Factory Dinky worked on 2 cars from the New Avengers. In 1978 a Triumph TR7 was produced in Purdey livery. Maghull’s Frank Hornby Heritage Centre has one. The Steed Jag' did not see the light of day but both made it into the final (1978) Dinky Catalogue. #bsmuseums

Saw a new Meccano set on sale at a major UK retailer & it made me wonder who makes it these days.

It's Canadian company Spin Master.

I wonder what Liverpool-born and world famous Maghull resident Frank Hornby would think of today's Meccano offerings nearly 90 years since his death?

I'm sad to say that Kevin White a lifelong Liberal & Lib Dem member who had lived in Liverpool for many years has passed away.

A Radical & Social Liberal Kevin was constantly battling to get people to understand the futility of nuclear weapons.
