Do I believe that Saki6 will be terrible because her card lacks its key function? No, not in the slightest. Am I saying that pulling for her is stupid? Absolutely not! Pull for whatever and whoever you want! Im just saying in term of gacha profit, Saki6 has likely failed.

End of thread, thank you!

When you strip away the marketability of your main selling point, you lose profit. Lets take Genshin for example. When releasing Dehya, they decided to make her kit lacklustre, already turning off players who use meta. They also decided to make her permanent, resulting in the worst profits for her.

Saki’s card is comparable to the 3* of the set, Luka. It has the same artstyle and lack of rendering that Luka does, making it feel less valuable which is bad! You dont want the main thing meant to pull in money to look like its average!

Now, The issue with Saki6 is that instead of giving the chaser card(Saki) a far more aesthetic card or more significant looking card, they instead gave Ichika and Honami, the other two 4* a more detailed looks. This makes Saki’s card looks sloppy and rushed in comparison, losing that chaser quality.

Other good examples are Hona3 and Mizu5, with Honami and Mizuki having such stand out cards compared to the others to signify their quality. Making that aesthetic of cards be a 1/3 chance make it more likely for people to spend more on them, resulting in profit.

The best example of a chaser card is Akito3 (find a way out/kashika).Akito’s card is the one you want, which is why it has such a different aesthetic and appearance to the other 4* in the set. They want you to pull that card, so they made it more desirable. Making you spend money to get it.

A chaser card is a term commonly used in tcg for when a set releases. It is the “best card” wether it be gorgeous or powerful, it is the one everyone wants. This is how most tcgs and gachas get their profit, from having these chaser cards be the best of the best. PJSK is no exception

Project Sekai is some of SEGAs biggest profit within the recent years. It had some of the highest earnings in smartphone games for japan in 2023. Almost all of these earnings come from gacha and pulling for the cards. Each Gacha event comes with 3 cards to pull, but the focus is on one, the chaser

Firstly, this isnt me saying Saki6 is bad. Nor am I saying the story is bad. Im saying that Saki6’s gacha will likely fail its key role in the game. No I dont hate Saki. Ok? Ok

This feels like ot was meant to be a Honami event but it got switched to Saki last minute and all I have to ask is why? Why give us half baked chaser cards? The song feels like elevator music and like Im going to forget it…I feel bad for Saki as a character because it feels wrong…

Like even the cards feel filler. Theyre beautiful dont get me wrong but look at the difference between Saki’s card compared to Ichihona…It feels so bland in comparison the first two looks beautiful but Saki looks unrendered
