When I was doing PhD research in Berlin, I found a bar I really liked on Warschauer Str. in East Berlin. It was the oddest place because in many ways it screamed DDR, but it also had a portrait of Frederick the Great on the mantle.

Yeah, they were both polite, and the one was clearly sheepish about it. He also made some comments about making a mistake and getting Chipotle for lunch before working. 🤦♂️

Two years ago when moving, I had to hire movers to help move my big pieces of furniture. During both the loading and unloading, one of the movers used my bathroom to drop a deuce. I didn’t care, but I thought it was the weirdest thing that it happened twice in a row.

I think Solo is really fun. I don’t know if expectations were just so low, but I thought it was delightful and very underrated.

Oh man, the AI slop over there is especially bad. I don't know what's worse - the slop itself, of the number of people who share the slop, or think it is real.

Every few months I decide to give CNN a chance, and within minutes he starts talking and I remember why I turned it off in the first place.

I just get so tired of the broken record. They keep talking about the need for more effort and not taking teams lightly, yet how long has it been now? I feel bad thinking it, but I'm glad they're getting booed off the ice regularly when they don't show up. Nothing else gets through.

Scheisse! Is awesome. I lived in Berlin and went to a Union game back when they were regionalliga. Such an amazing atmosphere!

Anecdotally, I am convinced there people who voted for Trump 2.0 because the one thing they remembered about v. 1.0 was the stimmy checks.
