KMPG analysis shows that for every £1 invested in bus services, we get an economic benefit ranging from £4.55 to £5.

If we want 2026 to be a year of political renewal, we should look to the politics of Robin Cook for inspiration.

Read about why in my article for @politicshome.bsky.social

Robin Cook showed us politics at its most serious. Labour has lost that balance
Delivering the Robin Cook memorial lecture was one of the greatest privileges of my time in Parliament. But it wasn’t just a privilege – it was a burden too. The name Robin Cook still carries a weight...

Beautiful blue glass beads from the late Bronze Age 💙

Ploughed up by a farmer in Denmark in 1885, analysis shows the beads were made in Mesopotamia, pointing to long-distance trade in luxury goods some 3,000 years ago.

JULY: half of Thames Water's treatment plants can't handle demand. This is where lack of investment leads.

For 10 days the prison refused to acknowledge she was on hunger strike

Another prisoner, Qesser (20), has dangerously low BP + high heart rate, blocked from hospital care

They're political prisoners held without trial
They must be bailed and proper medical treatment 🇵🇸
