You can have a pure evil villain with backstories, if a character has zero backstory then where is any of the depth? What’s the point of the character??? I love thinking about the Sins all being a found family that’s dysfunctional, Mams included, he’s still a Sin, and still important.

That being said, you can like a villain and not support their actions. You can have a villain and write characters to see another side of them. They aren’t real people, it’s a show.

People preach more pure evil villains with zero backstory and that’s just bad writing. They get it, they whine.

Deep down he does have somewhat of a heart, albeit it’s a greedy blackhole that wants more 😭
