Highly recommend Super Mutant Magic Academy by Jillian Tamaki. Such a gem of a comic.
"I try really hard to find people through comics," Quintel explained of the show's origins. "Back in 2015, I found this comic called 'Super Mutant Magic Academy' by Jillian Tamaki. I met her and said, 'You should make this into a show,' and she said, 'I can't, but maybe if you did it.' I told her I would remember that, and literally seven years later I called her when I got a development deal at [the studio.]" Quintel was less withholding when it came to another of his projects, the upcoming YA animated series "Super Mutant Magic Academy," based on the comic of the same name by Jillian Tamaki. Artwork and an animatic were shown, giving the impression that the show will land somewhere between "X- Men" and "Harry Potter," as its title plainly suggests.

From The Jakarta Method: Both Indonesia and Brazil were anticommunist dictatorships, and this doesn't only have consequences on the international stage. Internally, when anticommunism is the ruling ideology, almost the national religion, any legitimate complaint from below can easily be dismissed as communist. Anything that would be an obvious inconvenience to the small clique of rich families that run the country can be easily categorized as dangerous revolution, and cast aside. This includes any whiff of socialism or social democracy, any land reform, and any regulation that would reduce monopoly power and allow for more efficient development and market competition. includes unions and any normal demands for workers' rights.
