nah this stuff happens in tech / science too, I think things like 'nobel prize' are really a big sign of this idea where people are celebrated for singular moments instead of the process and teamwork across generation of people it's taken them to get there

We all know music (and art in general) doesn't come out of a vacuum, we should pay more respect to the ongoing progress and sharing nature of it rather than treat people like they invented using synthesisers or something.

tbh it's hard to explain to other people at work why I don't want to write code that uses nulls or even None in python if I can avoid it. seems like people just accept it as fact
