Barely scraping through life
How I see it is 15 in The Giggle has just been born with memories of living a retired life as 14 (therapy out of order). One day 14 reaches the end of his life and gets plucked out of his timeline back to the bigeneration. I also see his TARDIS following him back along the timeline to become 15’s!

I don’t think 14’s TARDIS is a separate one from 15’s though, it’s just a past version. If it’s considered separate regardless, then there’s probably a hundred TARDISes on Earth at any one time with all the different Doctors running about!

Yes the house was destroyed in Revolution of the Daleks. 14’s TARDIS is just a ‘younger’ version of 15’s though, no? Like 14 himself will presumably fade away to become 15, his TARDIS will gain a jukebox and become 15’s.

One is 14’s TARDIS, I’m blanking on what the other one is?

The Timeless Child stuff is more an origin story for how the Gallifreyans learned to regenerate. Omega’s story is about how they discovered time travel and so became Time Lords.

I want Puppet General Hermack flailing around the screen as he says ‘we’re go-eeng. To be. Too late. Again!’

Belinda’s reply ‘Am I 6?’ to The Doctor’s silliness was the moment she immediately clicked for me - can’t wait to get to know her more over the next few weeks!

…Touché

Another thing about this moment I feel silly for never noticing until recently - The Doctor here recreates the worst moment of this incarnation’s life, Adric’s death, by crashing the ship into the planet!

Also only an actor (and massive fanboy) like Capaldi could make a line like ‘A Mondasian Cyberman!’ sound epic instead of a bit naff!

This is what they mean when they say ‘indefinable magic’

Oh I didn’t hear this, what’s the issue with The Highlanders?

All of you were wonderful, ignore the weirdo Colin! I just watched Mark of the Rani for the first time last night and had a big smile on my face the whole time through - great fun!

I think people on Twitter now genuinely believe being a contrarian makes them special. As opposed to just constantly miserable and tedious to listen to. When that first clip of the Xmas special came out, everyone here reacted positively or at least engaged. Breath of fresh air!

It’s looking like a complete contrast to the 14/15 interactions from The Giggle…or maybe a very deliberate continuation of that line of thought!

The cover art is just pure Who, great stuff!

In ‘Empire of Death’ we learned that Sutekh has been clinging to the TARDIS for every episode ever since ‘Pyramids of Mars’. So what do you think Sutekh’s favourite & least favourite Doctor Who adventures are?

Purely anecdotal, but so far it reminds me of what dwtwt used to be a couple years back with the community of younger fans and community of older fans having their own circles and occasionally interacting. Which was way better with more varied opinions, less tiny cliques etc!

I admit, the first time I read where it describes the charts as ‘rhythmic beats’ and ‘catchy melodies’, my first thought was ‘wow, she’s being extra sarcastic today’ 😅

When I first read this on the Patreon, it made me realise that you can actually get uncanny valley from text. At least it made me feel something unlike the episode in question.. Loving the blog btw!

Sutekh/Set has traditionally looked like a dog or jackal, both in Classic Who and in actual ancient Egyptian myth!
