However, I'm starting to think that the capitalist structures are fragile and therefore can be overcome if organizing is maintained both on the ground and on the internet

Capitalism being a system that sells the story that everybody can participate and become successful if they put in the work, while simultaneouly reducing the work force through consolidation and automation or engaging in a modern system of endentured servatude (perpetual nature of poverty)

Is it also the case that cutting down those forests leads to a diminished capacity for regrowth? Meaning the smaller the forests get the harder it is for the remaining forest to mitigate temps, humidity, soil moisture and the nutrient cycle.

October snow makes me feel hopeful that we will have a good winter, the data does not play that out in the Great Lake region though

Yep, but I struggle to convince a lot of my family and friends that we have ways of solving many of the manufactured crisis the media portrays. The draw to absorb this message is hard to overcome.

Reminds me of a corn meal cake we make all the time, thanks for the link

I totally love that you refer to your kids by their age to the nearest tenth, anonymity, but a reference point of significance for understanding

Doesn't limited parking mean more tax$/m² for the municipality?

Maybe 1891, so many ways to screw things up and they're gonna try as many as they can

It would be interesting to see the data in immigrants who drive over posted speed limits, many don't want to draw attention to themselves, so they try to follow the rules

I'm not sure there are benefits to football, just my opinion, too much power/class dynamic involved

The good news seems to be pretty local, but that's in line with our news in general right now

We generate so much waste with capitalism, I take bags with me all the time to pick some of it up. I find it everywhere and most people with me have trouble spotting it, because plastics break into small bits. My brain is trained to see all the textures, shapes, glints of light and colors.

I appreciate your advice, my actual expertise is probably construction, but my obsession is weather and climate. However, you're the expert there, so I repost you and your colleagues routinely.
