A laptop can be life‑changing. For this student in Ukraine, it means access to online school, homework, and a sense of normality in the middle of conflict.

That taught me something important, though. When Gen Beta starts struggling (and they will, because every generation does), I'm going to reach out and help them. Because how you treat the next generation matters way more than what mistakes they make.

The one thing I do agree with? We're doomed. But not because of anything we did. We're doomed because Gen Z and Millennials would rather point fingers than actually help. Every generation struggles—it's normal. But instead of lifting us up, older generations just push us down.

I also write a blog and have never used AI for it. Plenty of Gen Alpha children are creative; people just ignore us when it doesn't fit their narrative.

Then there's the claim that we lack creativity because of AI. Which for me personally is really funny, as I am literally spending my winter break right now on an art project with the identical twin girls from my class—something we chose to do, not something we have to do for school at all.

Yeah, some of us don't respect authority automatically, but whose fault is that? Bad parenting and teaching from older generations created that. You can't raise children without teaching respect and then act shocked when they don't have it. It's directly linked to how we were raised.

People say we're addicted to our phones, but studies show Gen Alpha actually uses phones less than older generations. It's projection—they're the ones glued to their screens whilst complaining about us.

People love to criticise my generation (Gen Alpha, born January 2010–December 2024), but honestly? Most of what they complain about isn't even our fault. A lot of it comes from the generations criticising us the most—Millennials and Gen Z.

I call it the #MAGAParadox the ability to hold two completely opposing versions of reality in their head as both simultaneously true when it benefits them and false when it benefits them. And they will resort to physical violence to prove both sides. Without cognitive dissonance.

However, that does not excuse this dishonesty. It is bonkers that we have to deal with this level of inaccuracy from "experts."

It is honestly disgraceful that medical experts sign off on this disinformation. I suspect it is just laziness. People are using AI to write articles without actually knowing the facts or checking if the information is correct.

It gets much worse. Sources like Verywell Health spread pure fiction. They claim aphonia is a disorder where you can actually still speak. They also insist it is always neurological or psychological, never physical. None of those claims are true.

Clinically, aphonia means the absence of a voice. Yet, if you look it up, even medical professionals claim it means "loss of voice." That ignores people like me with congenital aphonia. I was born without vocal folds. I did not lose my voice; I simply never had one.

Sometimes people ask if I am mute or aphonic. Technically, I am both. However, I usually stick to saying "mute" because the definition of aphonia is often twisted completely wrong.
