Nice of them to offer an early Christmas present to the SWP.

I think the main thing is we all agree she did something wrong and that she must resign. We can work out what it was she did wrong later.

The Tory government post 2016 turned a lot of the political press and right into messy bitches who live for drama, and think policy is for nerds.

Are we counting the time taken to find the brains?

Like a young Heseltine.

I feel like one of them has failed to grasp a fundamental part of acting, and I don't think it is the doctor.

They could probably cover the demolition costs by letting people pay to demolish sections of it.

Same in Milton Keynes, been there for years and if there is vandalism against them, it is at a very insignificant level.

I think Kemi entered politics at about the same age as Thatcher?
While Starmer had effectively a whole legal career first.

Presumably this is something she has absorbed from right wing American twitter (Jesus didn't believe in hand outs from the state, just personal charity), then done some rationalising to make it work in her head (this is because states didn't exist)

Plus, and I've not read the bible for a fair few years so could be wrong, I didn't get the impression Jesus was for the status quo on how the poor and disadvantaged were treated... and I don't think it was on the basis they were being too well looked after.

Yeah - I don't think it actually tells us anything about the budget or Reeves, just that he is a deeply unpleasant person.

Which doesn't feel like it is newsworthy - a sign of how unserious the right wing press have become that they are all covering his views.

Based on the line about it, I'm not sure it is necessary - sounds like it is playing off how people think US academia works rather than how US academia actually works.
Though given his other shows have been "reality" based, it would be a different approach.

Broke out your resting Ted Cruz face?

Someone clearly had great expectations for it.

Same.
Quite liked it, then heard the rest of the album and was really underwhelmed.

I'm trying to work out if he means from 180 to 19 BC, or 19 to 180 AD?

A new kind of peat?
November 27, 2025 at 2:57 PM
I've noticed that part of it seems to be getting skipped in the framing of it.
Okay, Labour are going to spend more on benefits... but what the extra spending does seems rather important.

Hide copies of it around Westminster, releasing clues on how to find them two hours before the budget starts.

I think the value is in him hopefully taking a few months to say it, at which point the OBR hope everyone has forgotten/ stopped caring about it.
November 27, 2025 at 11:33 AM
Yes, that is my thinking.

The rooms are just too big so all the proportions feel off and they are intimidated into just having stuff to fill space. Either have a sensibly sized room, or own it and have a load of empty space, IMO.

But that tax isn't just on car insurance, instead it is on most types of insurance. While some form of vehicle tax is a useful proxy for who is "driving" the costs it covers, which wouldn't exist in the same way if no one drove.

Penny farthings or tandems?
November 26, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Isn't it the unwinding of the 5p cut, with the freeze they are pretending to unfreeze from the next budget?
