I must be doing something right bc I never see opinions like these online these days lmao. The only times I've seen gripes abt gay ships in the past year or 2 has been from people complaining about there being more gay fanfic than lesbian fanfic on ao3 (which there are a *number* of reasons for).

I think there's something to be said about the desire to archive. It speaks to our humanity in seeing the things we make, the time spent and events we experience as precious and valuable. Bc they are! Sometimes we forget the initial raw impact over the years, so it's good to make note.
