I have some go-tos, excluding search results before 2020 or so, noAi.duckduckgo (not perfect but a start), recently also been using archive org a lot to find actual books on what I need (crazy amount of pose books etc, im sure you can find a lot of clothing and animal stuff too!)

100% either be clear and neutral in tone or just don't have a "wont draw" at all, if you use forms to take commissions you can literally just ignore the ones you dont wanna do. I get odd ones out so rarely, ppl do look at your body of work before commissioning usually...

I was told it's because they weren't able to amend the software to account for new tarifs yet (I have to pay a fee per item now to send things to America), but also that they're not even working on it because it might not longer be relevant after this presidency

The biggest time sink is all items need to be taxed now so they all need a code. Online you could pick from a list and it'd fill the tariff code in for you. Now you have to describe it to the worker there and they tell you the number to write down. Then they re-type it from what you wrote.
