the lion's song (2018)
to be honest I mainly played this because it has been mysteriously in my steam library since 2018 and I wanted to finally experience it! it was a fun series of vignettes, I got a little tired of the episodes sometimes but the pixel art always drew me back in. neat experience!

no case should remain unsolved (2024)
I tore through this in one sitting, it was seriously addicting to unravel the story once I started. Piecing together a timeline of who said what when was a fun gameplay hook and I think it worked great for the games runtime, never overstayed its welcome

life is strange 2 (2018)
300 characters is not enough to capture the nuance of my feelings on this game lmao. some of the highest highs and lowest lows of the series. its extremely clumsy in how it tackles issues of race, but also impressively good at capturing the sibling relationship at its core

the awesome adventures of captain spirit (2018)
almost skipped this on my replay and im glad i didnt. i think its a great encapsulation of what dontnod does the best- creating an intimate setting full of details with a central dynamic taking the main focus. its heartbreaking though. My poor nephew

chain gang all stars (2023)
this was everything that made friday black great and more. adjei-brenyahs style translates brilliantly to a longer form story. im so glad i finally got around to reading this and am disappointed that it took me as long as it did. one of the best reads of the year for sure

life is strange: before the storm (2017)
did this game need to exist? not really. am i happy it does? Very much so. the tenderness of the moments between Chloe and Rachel are so real and hit just as hard as when I was younger.. its worth it for that alone. The tempest scene was still peak romance

arco (2024)
this was a really fun spin on turn based rpgs, I loved how each encounter was a little puzzle that you could retry over and over again with different combos of skills and items to get right. The pixel art was gorg as well. Unf the story didnt hit that much for me but it was still neat :)

conversations with friends (2017)
i liked this one significantly less than normal people im afraid. and its not because the leads all kind of suck, that works to the books benefit, I think its just weaker all around. Which i guess is what happens when you go backwards in an authors bibliography lol

tactical breach wizards (2024)
absurdly fun. please play this one if you even remotely enjoy strategy rpgs every aspect is delightful

hades ii (2025)
i have so many mixed feelings. the gameplay is just as fantastic as the first, but going into 1.0 i was most excited for character dynamics and development. Which was a mistake on my part. I think ill enjoy sg games more in the future if I lower my writing expectations 😭

life is strange (2015) (replay)
It is so easy to make fun of this game and yet so hard for me to hate it. It really puts itself out there, it takes big swings and misses most of them but you can't help but root for it!! its just so earnest. and that goes a long way with me

normal people (2019)
I rlly enjoyed my time with this even though it was so harrowing. My favorite part was the way the story would cut to moments right after a major incident, leaving the readers to put together what happened. It might be one of my fav utilizations of time skips in a narrative now

double romcom trouble
1. everything about stardust made sense when I found out it was a loose gaiman adaptation
2. sometimes famous movies are famous for a reason huh. the cinematography was great especially
