Wounds in the Mirror Tempest (sniperct) Summary: When she looked up, she saw Rumi and Zoey standing at another car, doors open. They both got in without any lingering gazes and Mira started to breathe again, though her eyes could see Rumi's tense face in the side mirror. "I saw them talking to you. Who were they?" Her partner's voice was warm, curious, inviting Mira to share. Her wrist throbbed like an alarm, and Mira replied, "Don't know. Helped me fill out the paperwork. Didn't get their names." "How kind of them." Honey in her voice. It made the scrap of paper hidden in Mira's sleeve itch her skin. Or, Mira meets two women in the emergency room and tries to pass her injuries off as an accident. They see right through her. They become a life line. Catching the Car Tempest (sniperct) Summary: Mira had had many large rebellions over the years but maybe this was simply a smaller one. And a part of her understood. Even more than the somewhat overwhelming desire lancing through her was the even more overwhelming and plaintive need to have some level of control over her own body. Mark it with her own rebellions rather than marked by the mistake of her birth. Or, Rumi discovers Mira has nip piercings and has a Crisis about it

To the last beat of the heart and the last kick of the motor Tempest (sniperct) Summary: As Rumi's voice rang through the comms like the angel she was they hit the smoke, three trails of purple pink and blue streaking behind them. Instinct kicked in as they reached the stadium, the three ships rolling together, banking hard to the right and then climbing up and into a loop. It was ingrained into Mira's bones. The timing, the trust in their skill, the way every maneuver matched the music. Singing while hitting absurd G-forces was not easy. Never easy. The pressure on her chest was uncomfortable at best, outright painful half the time but training and practice and a little spite at their critics was all Mira needed. Or a concert/aerobatics show threatens to end in tragedy when Vanduul raiders strike.
