It's worth pointing out that the full book is 62 hours long. Which would be fine, if it was a good book.

I've gone through the first 6 Dune novels and, while often dry, they were nonetheless wonderful.

Manufacturers lied about production capacity and were sometimes also lied to by material suppliers and nobody planned for fuel interruptions so then a bunch of oranges went bad and now nobody can make cars because the ball bearing company went under.

I've got lots of thoughts but the thing I keep coming back to is that the main villain of this book is capitalism. Like, Rand keeps on trying to blame everything on the government but it's always capitalists screwing over other capitalists and then crying about poor people.

It get a lot of hate but I keep coming back to it. Majula is the best place of peace in the whole series.

Don't skip it. It's hard to punch fascists with untrained arms.
